THE SOUTH VIETNAM VOLUNTEER TRIP 5 DAYS

Xin Chào! Welcome to Ho Chi Minh (HCM) city – the biggest city in Vietnam
Upon arrival in Tan Son Nhat International Airport, you will transfer to Ho Chi Minh center. Check-in your hotel.
Later of this afternoon, you will visit some higlights of the city such as the Reunification Palace, the War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Post Office and Ben Thanh Market.
At 18:30, get pick-up then transfer to boat dock to join dinner on the cruise along Saigon River. It is great chance to catch beautiful moments of Saigon by night as well as enjoy local cuisine. Your table will be reserved at the second floor of the cruise.
Return and overnight at your hotel in HCM City

Starting at 8:00 AM from your hotel, we begin a morning excursion to Tay Ninh. Here, you'll visit the Great Cao Dai Temple to explore Caodaism – a unique blend of Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, Hinduism, and Christianity—and participate in the vibrant noon mass, which lasts about an hour.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant then we visit Cu Chi Tunnels which are an underground labyrinth of passageways, used by the Viet Cong during the American war as protection against American air raids. Those inclined are invited to crawl through selections of the tunnels to better understand what life was like for the Vietnamese soldiers during wartime.
Dinner is served at a local restaurant then we will have discussion at the hotel’s meeting room about 2-3 hours. Overnight at your hotel in HCM City.

Have breakfast at the hotel, then we will check out and head to Tien Giang Province and Kim Phuoc pagoda where the shelter is for lonely elderly people, people in difficult circumstances and dozens of orphaned, abandoned, homeless children. We will buy some paints, together with a local painter we will do some cleaning and painting works here.
After finish, we will hop on the bus to get My Tho town for dinner. Overnight at your hotel in My Tho.

After breakfast, we will get back to Kim Phuoc pagoda to continue our painting work here. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

Around 15:00, when we are done with the painting work, we will visit a local village affected by saltwater intrusion. A lesson to learn about the lack of freshwater.

Return to your hotel in My Tho town. Dinner is served at a local restaurant then we will have discussion at the hotel’s meeting room about 2-3 hours. Overnight at your hotel in My Tho.

After breakfast at your hotel, we check out and have a short transfer to the boat dock. You will be ridden by a local motorboat along Dragon Island, Unicorn Island, Phoenix Island, Turtle Island and stop at the famous Unicorn Island. While at the Unicorn Island, you will visit natural pure honey at the bee keeping farm. Taste some honey tea, rice wine, banana wine. Walking on the village and taking rowing boat along the natural water coconut canal to see the local lifestyle in the Mekong Delta. From there, you will continue your motorboat trip to Ben Tre province to visit a handmade coconut candy workshop.

Meet our driver then we will hit the road to return to HCM City. Lunch will be served before we transfer your group to the airport for the flight to home. Bid farewell and hope to welcome you back.
