Day 1: Hanoi Arrival โ Welcome to Vietnam
Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, our guide and driver will welcome the group and transfer to the city center to leave your luggage, then we start our city tour.ย
Visiting the Museum of Ethnology to learn more about all groups of people living throughout Vietnam, following lunch at a local restaurant with a Vietnamese food set menu.
In the afternoon, we will explore Thang Long Imperial Citadel, with the chance to explore architecture, relics, and stories stretching back through 1,300 years of Vietnamese history. Next, walking and exploring deeper the culture as well as Hanoianโs lifestyle in Hanoi Old Quarter.
Dinner will be served at a local restaurant, then we will explore the famous Hanoi Train Street, treat yourself to a local drink, and experience the unique atmosphere of daily life along the railway tracks. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: A full day to explore traditional villages
Start your day at 08:00 AM, enjoy a full-day cultural journey from Hanoi to discover Vietnamโs traditional craftsmanship. Visit Van Phuc Silk Village, famous for its 1,200-year-old silk weaving tradition, where youโll learn how the elegant Vietnamese Ao Dai is made and explore vibrant silk workshops. Continue to Chuong Conical Hat Village, where local artisans handcraft the iconic Non La, a symbol of Vietnamese beauty and rural life.
After lunch at a local restaurant, travel to Ung Hoa District to visit a family workshop that produces traditional musical instruments such as the ฤร n Bแบงu (monochord), ฤร n Tranh (16-string zither), and drums. Enjoy live demonstrations and experience authentic Vietnamese culture before returning to Hanoi in the late afternoon.
Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and overnight at your hotel in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi โ Halong Bay with Cruise
Depart Hanoi at 08:00 AM for a scenic drive to Ha Long Bay, passing peaceful rice fields and local villages along the Red River Delta. Upon arrival at Tuan Chau Marina, board a comfortable 6-hour day cruise and sail through the emerald waters of the UNESCO World Heritage bay.
Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch on board while cruising past iconic limestone formations such as Fighting Cocks Islet and Stone Dog Islet. Explore the stunning Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave or Thien Cung Cave, and enjoy kayaking or a bamboo boat ride around the tranquil Luon Cave area. Relax on the sundeck and take in the breathtaking bay panorama during the return journey.ย
We will prepare a small private cruise (maximum capacity: 48 people) for your group. If you need a bigger cruise, feel free to let me know. It may come with a surcharge.
Disembark in the late afternoon and get back to your hotel in Hanoi for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Hanoi cooking class โ Departure
Start your day at 08:00 AM, our tour guide will meet you at your hotel, then we will walk to the cooking places. It is a local restaurant in Hanoi's Old Quarter. Meet our chef, get a welcome drink, and then we choose 3 different dishes for today's cooking course. We also offer 1 free special drink, your choice of Hanoi Egg coffee or Hanoi Egg beer.
Later on, we will walk to the local market nearby (Dong Xuan Market) to choose the ingredients, and practice bargaining with the local sellers at the market. Return to the cooking class place, learn how to cook those foods under the guidelines of our professional chef. Enjoy the foods that you cook, get a certificate, then return to your hotel to check out.
Later, transfer your group to the airport for the flight home. Bid farewell. Thank you for choosing to travel with us, and we look forward to welcoming you again soon!
