Raw materials: The soil used to make pottery must be soil rich in kaolin from Hai Duong and Go Cong Tay. 🌱Burning process:

Dong Gia’s products have to go through two times of heating in a gas furnace. After shaping, the ceramic bone will be put into a kiln at a temperature of more than 900 degrees Celsius, then brought out to cool and dipped in enamel. Next, the product is put into a kiln at a temperature of 1300 degrees Celsius, the purpose of this is to create the necessary ripeness for the glaze, causing the glaze to melt and adhere very firmly to the ceramic bone.

🌱Enamel variable:

Enamel is the most important factor and also the secret of each Pottery kiln. Dong Gia uses Hoa Vang yeast, also known as living yeast. When unfired, enamel has no color. During the firing process, due to the temperature and kiln environment, enamel, kaolin, iron oxide, and earth bones are melted and transformed throughout the surface of the product, creating a vivid color picture and soul in each different angle.
